Carbon Copy is a 4 minute film inspired by a collection of self-written poems that directly comment on Jade Ayino’s experiences growing up as a Black woman within modern Britain.  The film navigates between sensations of trauma, desire and frustration, whilst unpicking the diverse forms of oppression that Black people in particular Black  females face.

Carbon copy was a collaboration with BBC Arts council and shall be released on the BBC Arts platform soon!

Adblock Bristol is working towards a city that celebrates its creativity and independence, where residents have a say in what they see in the city’s streets and other public spaces. We oppose billboards and other corporate outdoor advertising, and promote a visual environment which reflects the unique identity of our city, the values of local communities and the local economy.
